Quite impressive:
Via /Oculus, where the demo's creator, /DimaKurilchenko, has more about the plans for this tech:
Short term, we plan to finish a minimum viable demo for animators and directors who work on 3-D content creation and to get feedback in order to understand what they may need the most from the product. Long term, we want to build a simple but valuable product that will allow to portray and animate ideas in 3-D with little to no learning curve. We want to make it public as soon as possible, right now our setup is super uncommon and just weird—we use Gear VR with Razer Hydra and it's not very convenient. We hope to get our hands on Vive or alternatives soon and start making demos for people who are interested in trying out our thing.
It's actually relatively easy to animate cars and other mechanical objects, but I can see this being really effective for cheaply animating organic creatures in a believable way with some Serkis-style body English.
