I know today I'm supposed to post something like, "Hey I just heard Second Life was bought by Microsoft to become a Minecraft expansion!" or "Several sources tell me Philip Rosedale has hired John Cusack to promote High Fidelity!", and so on, but here's the thing: Just in the last 30 days...
- A well-known news outlet reported on the US political candidate whose virtual campaign headquarters was covered by virtual poop, which only reminded me about the right wing French political party HQ attacked by pig grenades.
- Virtual reality enthusiasts are literally excited about living in a dystopian future if it comes with cool graphics.
- Someone created a virtual version of Donald Trump's douche mansion complete with a virtual douche wall.
- People are paying hundreds of dollars to buy a device that puts a giant ring-shaped rash on their face.
- Facebook is paying billions to build a technology inspired by a 1992 science fiction novel, while the author has become so influential, he's now helping build it too.
No fooling!
Though I do think the star of High Fidelity should get behind High Fidelity.
