Linden Lab may no longer support its Oculus Rift-compatible viewer for Second Life, but David Rowe of CtrlAltStudio does. Click here to read his notes and get the viewer download link.
Reading the comment thread, it looks like David's version works with the consumer version of Oculus Rift (i.e. CV1) quite well, which is great, because Linden Lab's did not. Says Neo Cortex, for instance:
"Frame rates vary between 25 and 68+, depending on content and settings. I still have the same micro jerking visuals while turning my head, but that was expected, as i had this with my DK2 and the older version too. Seems the head tracking issue while looking straight up or down have vanished."
Maybe Linden Lab should buy the viewer from David and make it official? Just a thought.
Much thanks to Graham Mills for the tip!

CtrlAltStudio doesn't work with Oculus Rift. It works on dev kits that still don't use current firmware, but an actual Oculus Rift (CV1) requires up to date firmware.
The fact that this isn't widely known just shows how few are actually even trying.

That's not the impression I got from the comment thread. I don't have a Rift or compatible PC but have no reason to question the positive feedback given by users there. Note that the version they are using is downloaded via the link in the comments.

@Adeon:
David Rowe, the developer of the CtrlAltStudio viewer wrote:
"Hot off the hard drive and ready for some testing: 1.2.6.43402 Alpha. Pretty much the same as the previous version – including the same general limitations – but built with Oculus SKD 1.5.0 so that it runs with the latest Oculus runtime."
