[A] jaw-dropping report from The Daily Beast that Palmer Luckey has been secretly funding a pro-Trump organization founded by some uniquely noxious online racists...
Oculus co-founder and Trump troll financier Palmer Luckey was conspicuously missing from the keynote stage at today’s Oculus Connect 3 conference in San Jose, CA. That likely related to the backlash against news that Luckey donated $10,000 to Nimble America, a pro-Trump non-profit dedicated to bashing Hillary Clinton with offensive memes.
Zuck is onstage. No Palmer, it seems like. The adults are taking over. https://t.co/ZF4xhtPwaI

People in the VR community were hoping that the [Facebook] acquisition wouldn't lead to a change in culture for the fast-moving Oculus, but recent scandals have shown the danger of young companies with seemingly reckless founders. It seems that Facebook is hoping to capitalize on its acquisition a bit more directly. This is what it looks like when the adults start to crash the party.
You know, when Facebook first bought Oculus, people feared the company would immediately impose its vision on the company, but up until last month, has been relatively hands-off. But you know what they say: Trump happens.

Are you saying that Facebook brass banished Luckey because he embraced an unfashionable political candidate? It isn't business at all - the time lords just banished him? I've read about that kind of stuff when America was ruled by giant corporations like a hundred years ago. What? you say its still ruled by giant corporations now? Just different ones? Its not steel and railroads any more. According to the sage Peter Thiel that was the Age of engineering whereas now were are in the Age of information. If he's been banished by the time lords how unfortunate he chose his Ages incorrectly. Of course, if his crime is apostasy then surely shaming and banishment should be considered light.
