So far the realistic High Fidelity avatars have swung way too deep into the Uncanny Valley for me, but I just came across this avatar from HiFi Event Coordinator Jazmin Cano which successfully makes the leap -- stylistic and lively while definitely recognizable as her. (Compare with these photorealistic but dead-eyed High Fidelity avatars.) It was created through doob 3D, an in-person 3d modeling/printing technology, but Jazmin tells me there was some extra magic to convert her avatar into High Fidelity-ready form.
Got my @doob3D scan! I added the hair I modeled a while back in order to have more control of the style and now I'm gonna do my #VR makeup pic.twitter.com/fwIAzKnY6c

More on that when I hear more from her!
