Space, the upcoming Unity 3D-based virtual world from Second Life and OpenSim pioneers (a proud NWN sponsor!), has some new sims and installations created by a Second Life veteran. Built by "Alpha Mod" (not sure of his/her SL name), they should be a fun visit over the weekend, if you're interested in exploring a new virtual world -- just go here to create a free account/install the viewer and type these sim names in the Explore button at the bottom:
CLOUD CITY (pictured above), is a massive, sky-high urban area with a train running through it. Unity CEO John Riccitello was just talking about virtual worlds as re-usable film sets (something New World Notes discussed earlier this week), and Cloud City may just be a case study of that vision.
Two more after the break!
TOXIC (above) as the name suggests, is a Chernobyl-eseque post-apocalypse wasteland. And good news party people: It's also an electronic music venue hosted by Alpha Mod.
MODERN HOUSE, finally, is a work in progress, but as the name suggests, a good way of checking out Space's room creator tool.

Space is doing what they promised, Built for creators, by creators. Space is the professional alternative to Sansar.
