In contrast to Second Life, Linden Lab hasn't designed Sansar to have furry avatars (at least not yet), but it was inevitable that furries would find a way. And so they have, within a week of launch:
"I had a creative kick yesterday and spent about 8 hours putting this guy together," reports /sixfootblue in the Sansar subreddit. "The head and armwing are just accessories I uploaded and attached to my avatar. I just used the male avatar reference on the knowledge base to make sure the custom head fit the default one fairly closely, and then used some trial and error to match the head's color to the body's skintone as best I could."
I would have given the furries a full month to figure this out, but never underestimate the power of talented techies with an unquenched desire to embody something different, something humanoid, something scritch-worthy. And where one furry goes, expect a flock of furries to follow, turning Sansar like Second Life before it into a new online fur-topia.
The advert that popped up below this post was Smokey Bear.
I always knew he was a furry!

A full month... Michi Lumin only needed a few hours back when prim attachments were first enabled in SL to turn bat. There is a frightening amount of overlap between being furry and being a genius. (See: photos of Einstein stomping around in giant bunny feet)
