Sinespace, the upcoming Unity 3D-based virtual world from Second Life pioneers (a proud NWN media partner!) has some pretty impressive user-created regions worth a visit if you're interested in what the community has been doing with the development tools lately. Get the free client for Mac, Windows, or Linux here, and once you're set up and in-world, click Explore to search these locations by name.
Space Station by Austin Tate, as the name and pic above suggests, is a recreation of the International Space Station. More pics on his Flickr.
Two more below!
Spiral’s Fractal Art is an art gallery and store, and a lush park to boot. I especially like the flock of scripted rainbow parrots that circle through the trees above.
The 381 Club by Kathryn Yer features live DJs at selected times, and plays 80's dance classics all other times. Bring some online friends and try out the LUA-scripted danceball.

So is this just another opensim world or something else?

It is something else, Michael. You can run it through your web browser too. There is a guest mode, without registration, so it's easy to give a peek.
