Adam

I look forward to seeing a few new (and old) faces this weekend!

We're officially kicking off at 17:00 UTC on Saturday (someone'll have to convert that to PST for me, I'm useless at timezones...), and will be launching the new welcome center and summer festival areas at that time, so login and join us for the unveiling then. :)

If you're interested in checking our space - we'll also be doing regular tours of what our creator community has been up to, feel free to tag along - we're doing those every 2 hours from 19:00 UTC onwards. :)

Finally, we've got three contests running;

  • For creators: over this weekend, we're running a 'Build your own fireworks' contest, on Sunday we'll be exhibiting the winners - a sample kit is available in our developer groups (and I'm getting onto the forums now)

  • For users: we've got two contests running - on Sunday at 17:00 UTC, you'll be able to play with our inworld clothing painter (we'll give a quick tutorial first!), and then have an hour to make the most interesting painted clothing item.

  • Over the course of the whole weekend - we're also running a photography competition, take your best screenshot with the new photo tools we've added (click 'Snapshot' at the bottom of the screen) and the winner will be judged and declared 19:00 UTC on Sunday. :)

If you don't have an account - you can register and login from the viewer itself (or login as a guest) - there's a bunch of content creation contests going on as well.
