"Wrong Way" by Kristine Blackadder is black indeed, a minimalist gem shot in near darkness so we can focus on the expressiveness of the avatar. I found it via Yoon Yoon's 99 Faces, a new and very promising SL arts. Yoon says right things about "Wrong Way":
Even when in total isolation from what is called the normal (and hectic) world, you can have an incredible chaos in your head and life. It does not only destruct your own mind, but also the minds of the ones that care for you. They can see and hear you, but cannot reach and help you. I can see and hear them as well, but fail to feel their support, only experience it as another threat from that other world I do not belong to. I want to, but I cannot. And because I cannot I feel weak, bad, lost, silly, stupid and unloved. Kristine shows all of that in a very intense way. She stripped the environment, it’s black only, like the mind when it goes dark.
