Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
lisapia joined Second Life in 2015 and loves to hang out at the Cafe & Bar Bulan with other Japanese residents of SL. Her photostream is richly varied, with a strain of floating fantasies swimming along with kawaii pictures with her friends, as well as storytelling photos of love and romance. She blogs at Lisa Style & Life. The one thing you can be sure of, her photos are full of life and energy. With the help of Google Translate, she shared a bit of her process with us:
How would you describe your style of photos?
I like to bring inspiration, imagination, and emotions into pictures. I usually have the picture in my head. Sometimes I can do it immediately, but other times it may take several weeks to pull my what is in my head into the world. My feelings also influence the picture, so it's never always the same style. My style changes with my emotions. Also, depending on the image ... for example, Japanese-style things and cute things etc, my skin also changes.
What inspires your photos?
It is influenced by music, movies, and TV dramas. I try to create in one frame the emotions in my mind.
Of course I like positive things, but I also find inspiration in negative emotions. I like something that is painfully sad and heartwarming.
Much more from Lisa after the break!
What is your favorite photo of yours?
I especially like "Forevermore # 2" (above). I also created the pose. I very carefully made everything from pose to editing.
How does SL inspire you?
Whenever I see a wonderful picture of other people with Fickr, my motivation will rise as I also want to take good pictures.
Has SL changed your real life?
I see something in real life, I suddenly come up with photo ideas. [laughs] In addition, the enjoyment at home increased.
What do you like to do in SL?
I want to do more involving photos and videos. I shot a bit of movies, but it's still difficult with my technology. [laughs] I will study more.
What is your process for creating a photo? setting it up?
I always have a solid image in mind, so I make the set and costumes. I will make poses if I do not have the desired one. I care about the background and camera angle, contrast, light and shadow, perspective, if necessary, I make corrections. But I'm not familiar with most photo software, so I am self-taught and work by intuition.
How long have you blogged at Lisa Style & Life? How did you decide to be a blogger?
The blog is still shallow and has only 71photos. I started blogging to understand the items and record pictures.
Cajsa Lilliehook joined Second Life in 2007 and has been enjoying the art of SL ever since. Disliking the common practice of critiquing poor photos, she decided to highlight good ones and explain why they work in hopes of inspiring with praise instead of criticism.
