Click here to visit the Second Life island that's been turned into a fundraiser shopping mall to benefit Maxwell Graf, the much-loved and admired 3D artist in Second Life who was just evicted from his home in real life along with his family. Since the Going for the Max event opened last Tuesday, the community has raised almost L$250,000 -- i.e., around $1016. The organizers' goal, however, is to raise twice that by October 10, when the island and event goes away. There's copious virtual items from great SL brands for sale, there's raffles, there's all kind of fun -- more details on the event's Facebook page.
And as always, you can go directly to Max's SL Marketplace page to buy some of his beautifully wrought items from the web. Max, by the way, I'm told is making the trip to his new home after being evicted from his last one, so these L$ donations are literally helping keep an actual roof over his head.
