I recently asked Eripom Moonwall to tell me about her favorite Second Life vehicle brands, and seeing as she's among the very best creator of SL weapons/imagery and Japanese city sims, she not only gave me a great list of vehicles for the road and air and the apocalypse, but great pics of each brand too. Chosen with an eye for originality, quality, and a listing in the SL Marketplace, from lowriders with adjustable shocks to luxury sedans, working class trucks and cop cars to speedway racers -- starting with what you're looking at above: The Omega Concern of April Heaney.
Pro Street Cars of Scholes Devin
"A long-established maker of realistic mesh models and unique features like a web browser on the dashboard and lighting decorations," notes Ms. Moonwall.
Manji Automotive Factory of Manji Nishizawa
"The SL vehicle standard," notes Moonwall, "with best drive feel and stability, and unique models like Porche-962."
Many more below the break!
SYZM Motors of Will Szymborska
"Most famous police car maker for roleplay, high-detailed models and almost as many functions as a real police car."
Astaro / Tredpro of ac14 Hutson
Moonwall: "Everyone who's building cityscapes knows the name Astaro, work vehicle maker: semi trucks, vans, etc."
"Maker of luxury cars, and also work vehicles, with realistic driving feel, and all suspension systems physics-based."
GEMC of BeckHan Ra
Haru Motors of miki Franciosa
"Original, highest-detailed models of real cars, sports car and luxury sedans."
"Professionally built models and original scripts, you will be shocked by the super beautiful looks." Auto pictured above is reportedly available only in the in-world store: Teleport here.
"Famous SL lowrider maker, with realistic hydraulic systems that allow the vehicle to be raised or lowered at the owner's command."
And here's a bonus 11th:
Outland Tech and Curious Relics (OTCR) of Anisa Naumova
"Not wheeled," Moonwall acknowledges, "but awesome made. I strongly recommend you to visit and ride the robot DEMO."'

Jupiter by Lyte Rae, he is part of NTBI the same group that Szym, Lusch and Astaro are in.
https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/51008 He recently removed all his car listings, but added the GEMC scripted Jupiter Concord. More to come, I believe.

I ask to myself, "What happened with motorcycles?" I think the best in SL are from SAU motors by Nir Mcbride. Her designs are excellent, low in prims, great details, good animations and maneuverability. They are not cheap, but they worth every linden. You can try all her motorcycles in the store, She have a track in expanding and also made by her with a conection system to make it easy.

Another good one to add would be the Japanese maker TNKWorks. They're also pretty good! https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/24897
