Some icy and moody SL machinima from 2010 by a man named BobE Schism, based on a true story recounted by author Paul Auster in The Locked Room, almost entirely shot using in-world physical effects.
And after watching that, here's an open comment thread to say or promote anything about VR and virtual worlds, from machinima to beyond:
Which reminds me: One time I was in Cambodia and my girlfriend at the time banged her head against a cabinet door in our hotel room. (Which I may have opened up too quickly.) While she gripped her head in pain and shouted curse words at me, I ran down the hall in search of something cold to ease the swelling. I finally found the hotel manager who spoke little English, so I desperately pantomimed what I was looking for.
He looked up at me after awhile and solemnly asked: "Ice ice, baby?"
