HoloLens Simulator in VR from r/Unity3D
Via Reddit's Unity 3D community, this brain-melting demo by "throwaway5noreason", who used a photorealistic Unity model of some dude's bedroom (tutorial for how that was created here), then combined that with a simulated augmented reality experience:
The rendering has 3 depth cameras, the top one just renders the world with a depth mask where the display is, the second one renders the hologram layer with additive blending, and the third one renders everything behind the depth mask. When all 3 cameras are enabled it creates the effect shown in the video.
The AR user experience itself is actually pretty impressive, so along with this being a head trip, it could also be a worthwhile product demo.
