in order to have an instant experience somebody still has to make the stuff, and pay for the stuff to be hosted.

Free-to-play VR worlds are going to be wall-to-wall advertising until people work out that they should maybe buy a subscription.

And then in these wall-to-wall advertisment worlds somebody will make a ad-blocker (derender). And then the world providers who rely on advert revenue will start to pause play while advert.

And then well we have been here before.
