Refresh this post at 2pm Pacific today, because that's when the live YouTube video stream from High Fidelity starts, featuring the avatars of SL/HiFi founder Philip Rosedale and Kent Bye having a virtual fireside chat about the future of virtual reality. (In other words, they'll discuss the future of VR while wearing VR rigs and appearing in a social VR space.) If you're a High Fidelity user, you can attend the show in-person via your avatar in the region of Zaru.

Kent's conversations in both Sansar and High Fidelity were fascinating. He made some great points about avatar bias in the fireside chat and in Sansar he came and talked to us after the event. Kent has some great insights.

What's he mean by avatar bias?

Judging people based on their avatar, almost like a class prejudice, it was really interesting in High Fidelity because someone asked a question and Philip Rosedale said that they needed to get that person a better avatar.
Kent mentioned that later when he raised the issue and he also mentioned that Draxtor had commented on his avatar in Sansar.
