Xara Fiasco is an Australia-based singer who performs original songs live from Second Life, and when I started watching this video above, I was somewhat skeptical until about 2:13 minutes in when she started belting out an original that pretty much blew me away. There's vocal range, there's emotional depth, there's some Tori Amos-eseque piano virtuosity, there's some Regina Spector-ish whispery inflections, there's some thrilling crescendos which light up the room.
Three minutes in, I knew I needed to blog this, but I have to conclude with a mystery:
This video is actually from awhile ago (2014, to be exact) so my next question is if/when she's performing in SL again -- more info there hopefully soon. Until then, here's her YouTube channel and her homepage.

Xara is indeed immensely talented. I can't say if she's performing regularly still because I've not been in world much as of late, but all you have to do is join her in world update group to find out.

Thanks! She didn't have a link to her group on her website, do you happen to have it handy?
