Sansar isn't seeing any increased usage from its partnership with Spielberg's Ready Player One, but it's much more likely to see growth through this partnership: UmiNoKaiju, a Twitch/YouTube streamer who has over 60,000 subscribers on Twitch along. She just announced the partnership with this avatar creation video walkthrough above that's a lot of fun -- and a smart away to get gamers excited about playing with Sansar's avatar customization tools.
VRChat, of course, saw a huge spike in usage after YouTube/Twitch streamers picked it up, so apparently Linden Lab is applying that logic to this partnership. Then again, history may not repeat itself:
VRChat saw that growth spike because the YouTube/Twitch streamers who embraced it didn't have a sponsoring relationship with VRChat (that I'm aware of), so they could show VRChat off in all its grab-ass, trolly, offensive glory. Also, VRChat is optimized to work with PCs, while Sansar is optimized for high-end VR devices which few gamers own, so UmiNoKaiju may not inspire the same level of viral growth. Still, smart move on Linden Lab's part.

I can't believe Linden Lab is supporting Twitch when they outright banned Second Life from being streamed on their service.
Literally the only thing I would ever stream on Twitch, and I'm not allowed to stream it.
