Coming Soon to Sinespace: Live, Multi-user, In-Game 3D Model Editing Tools, I.E. "Prims on Steroids" -- Watch the Demo!
Click to watch a feature that's coming next month to Sinespace, the upcoming MMO/social VR platform (and proud NWN partner): In-game editing of 3D models in Sinespace with Archimatix, a user-friendly 3D modeler designed for Unity 3D-based apps like Sinespace, and 3D model editing via Inspector, another Unity feature.
When I say "in-game", that's exactly what the term suggests:
"Both the Inspector and the Archimatix implementation are networked," Sinespace lead developer Adam Frisby explains. "Everyone can see your tweaks live and in realtime. Inspector allows you to edit everything the same way you do in Unity itself, opening up a huge toolbox with lots of power, straight from the client."
Follow Sinespace on Discord or on Sinespace's Facebook page for updates when this feature is available. Also coming soon (either April or May): Multi-user editing of the same model, i.e. true live, collaborative building.
Here's a hands-on walkthrough from Adam to watch what he aptly calls "prims on steroids" in action:
As always, be sure to ask questions for Adam and the Sinespace team in Comments below. Speaking of which, Adam adds: "This is the first of a series of cool features we're adding this month; there'll be something for everyone."

So will this allow like bending, warping and reshaping like prims? Or is this more like your changing texture/location/brightness kinda thing?
It would be useful to know if the soon to be released @sinewavespace in world modify and build tools change the region contents in a persistent way or if a region restart resets to the original saved state. Also.. how will a sync back to the Unity base project work... if at all?
Hey Madeline - bending/warping/reshaping are fully supported. Check the video for a better example.
Austin: they do persist (be kinda useless without that!) - we haven't implemented sync back to Unity, but for the inspector stuff at least, that should be possible to do. That might end up more a 2.0 or 3.0 update to this feature.
