Visit in SL: Cranium Bay, Post-Apocalypse, Swamp Punk City Ruins With Amazing Details, Ambient Sound

Cranium Bay is an urban jungle which has been reclaimed by nature. The sprawling, broken streets tell a tale of apocalyptic events caused by a virus. The startling contrasts of gray and green in Cranium's abandoned metropolis leave those left behind to exist in a crime-ridden, desolate ruin. In Cranium Bay, the best people can hope for is to survive.

There's even an official Facebook page. I first came across it via this NiN machinima music video featured last week, and had to see it in person -- it's impressively detailed and full of evocative areas. Also (unlike many sims), Cranium Bay contains layers of ambient sound effects, which help bring you into the mood of this desolate world. Visit with a high-end PC, and it looks as good as a AAA videogame (as above). Visit with an older Mac like I did, and it still looks pretty good -- see below:
