If you haven't followed Boundless very closely (me neither), it's time to play catch-up, because it's launching to PC and PS4 this September. Lots of MMO-style gaming across a huge, single-shard universe of procedurally-created worlds, with a user-based economy and prim-based-creation. So much ambition threatens to disappoint, but the development studio is Wonderstruck, founded by veterans of EA and legendary Lionhead Studios, so I'm inclined to give them a chance.
The humanoid, alien avatars are an interesting choice and may turn off would-be players seeking ultra-realistic humans, but my bet is this is a smart choice, going after the market that made Minecraft and Roblox so popular, and are seeking the next evolution in games like those.
