Somehow I missed this last week, but Ryan Schultz didn't -- now available on Google Play for Android devices compatible with Daydream HMD headsets: High Fidelity - Live VR Experiences. ("However, it cannot be used in Daydream View.")
As you can see from this High Fidelity forum, it's way in alpha:
It’s important to us that testers are able to have an open conversation about feedback and improvements we can make so you can join real, live experiences with other people in virtual spaces right from your phone.
Are you an Android user eager to try out our new app and interested in testing it out?
If so, please fill out this form to add yourself to the list, and we will reach out to you within the next week to start gathering feedback.
Not finding any screenshots of the app in action, so I remain curious how the phone version conveys the VR experience -- if you have a compatible device, please post screenshots in Comments or on the NWN Discord channel!
The Google Play listing, by the way, comes with a pretty flashy, consumer trailer for HiFi:
Blue Mars once had such a similar attempt at mobile-izing its inworld experience that failed miserably. Hopefully, the reduced graphic demands of HiFi on PCs and the increased OpenGL ES capability of modern mid-premium smartphones as well as HiFi's decentralised networking will help dodge some of the issues that plagued the former.
Having said that, I may be a bit of a Homecoming Queen, but I'm still not a Daydream Believer. :p
