Dozens of SLers appeared at last Sunday's memorial to the late Sig "Siggy Romulus" Hewett, to remember his unique spirit and to comfort his widow, pioneer fashion designer Kasi “Nephilaine Protagonist” Hewett. The event was hosted by SL veterans Misty Rhodes and Stroker Serpentine, and numerous oldbies from a decade or more past returned to Second Life to pay their respects.
"We wanted it to be a celebration of Siggy's Life in and out of Second Life," Misty tells me. "Most of us there were privileged to meet Siggy at several real life events over the years. We were all devastated by the news of his passing. For me I cried and smiled all week as I worked on the Memorial for Siggy. He was a good friend, a great husband to Neph and a one of a kind awesome Dad."
And in tribute to Siggy's ribald, take-no-prisoners personality, this was not some somber event:
