Here's a fun new segment from a BBC podcast called The Digital Human, in which I tell longtime Internet culture reporter Aleks Krotoski about the "War of the Jessie Wall" in Second Life, which you can read more about here. (Also briefly mentioned is this story about a virtual mansion built by someone while homeless in real life.) Hi Hamlet, having been present at the creation I am certain you've seen this before. And, I'm equally certain most readers don't know anything about it. Back in 2008 there was a serious film made in SL with the technique called machinima. Many people made machinima back then, some quite good. This film was a bit cleaner than those. It was available for many years on HBO. Title:Molotov Alva and his Search for the Creator. My own take was it explored a difficult existential question.
