Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Brandon Taselian has one of the most lifelike and naturalistic photostreams of any Second Life enthusiast I can think of. I think he may create composites from real life street photos and his SL pictures. “Streets of California” uses the Rule of Thirds, though is a bold move, the subject is moving out of rather than into the frame.
“Together” is simply adorable. I love the humor and again, there is beautiful composition with the Rule of Thirds. He and his penguin friends are a third from the right side and the top of his hat is a third from the top.
"Right Wrong" is an excellent example of his skill in composing a shot. The drama comes from the contrast of light and dark. Notice how he frames it all. If you draw 45° angles from the corners, you get this central band of light crossing diagonally from lower left to upper right. The brightest moment, that flare of the cigarette is almost at the junction of those lines:
Brandon Taselian’s photostream is a pleasure to view, full of those caught in the moment, man on the street shots with artful and well-executed composition.
