Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
It seems like Fortnite is a messy game with lots of detritus, which is one thing in a scene that is dim and dark, with limited colors. But Fortnite is as bright and colorful as a carnival which makes the many objects seem like clutter. That makes it hard to shoot a good photo. That said, "Gamexpect" has some interesting Fortnite photos. This one above is made compelling with lighting. You sure know who the good guys are with the lighting all bright and cheery on the right and all diffuse and blue and purple on the left.
This Fortnite photo is also compelling thanks to framing it from behind and below. This makes the subject loom large and involves us on his side. By seeing from behind, we adopt his point of view and perceive those by the drive-in as potential challengers.
This one from Fortnite cracks me up though it could be partly because it "sort of" reminds me of the secret of a rock album cover from South Park though they may not be standing in a random place, they are definitely looking like they are too cool to care they are getting their picture taken for an album cover.

Those photos are promotional ones and mockups from Epic itself from early development of FortNite back when the only mode was the PVE mode. Fortnite: Save the World looks nothing like that now.
