Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Skinny Nilla’s photostream is chock full of wonderful photos, but “Bryn Oh’s Jane and Eloise” is extraordinary. While not quite as impressionistic, it feels like an homage to Georges Seurat in the quality of the light and composition. It captures that Belle Époque sensibility beautifully and is composed using leading lines to draw us in.
“Kékéland and Bardeco” is made extraordinary by his use of light to highlight the colorful homes in the distant while leaving the foreground in shadow. There are pops of color and a splash of light that ties the foreground to the vivid colors of the background. I love how he uses the old sign to frame the sailboat and his subtle use of the Rule of Thirds to frame the picture.
“Endless” is one of several still lifes that demonstrate his ability to compose a simple, but evocative picture. He uses depth of field to force our attention on the stack of dishes, the oregano, and the persimmon. It feels like a painting, It is beautifully composed.
Skinny Nilla’s entire photostream is full of beautiful landscapes that not only look beautiful, they also have SLURLs so you can find these sites for yourself.
