MangroveJane, who I profiled last year, shared “Nocturne” on Plurk, so I rushed to check it out, discovering Jo Molinaro, whose photostream is a delight. Jane said, “This person does the most incredible simple and poignant SL photography. This latest one is just...lovely.” What she said.
“Room for one only” is stunning. I love its simplicity and the stark discipline. Doing it in black and white was the perfect choice as it makes form the essence of the photo. He used the Rule of Fifths in placing the seat and the subject.
“I’m telling you I’m over 1.50m…” is a fun photo capturing a delightful romance that is shared throughout the photostream with occasional erotic photos as well as several sweet photos that are personality driven and a pure delight. Most photos capturing romance are sentimental or erotic, but Jo explores more delightful and authentic moments.
Jo Molinaro’s photostream is a happy discovery. I love his humor and his photos are all beautifully composed and elegantly restrained.
