Second Life avatar photographer Flight of Osiris created this striking portrait of Barack Obama's avatar in Second Life, but six years from now. "[I] thought if Donald Trump finishes two terms as president then Obama would be 63 at the time and I assumed would be brow beaten having seen his legislation accomplishments undone," Osiris explains.
While there are several avatar mesh heads of Obama for Second Life, they depict him as he was when he was President. "[I] used layers and a few filters to give him more wrinkles," says Osiris, "a bit more shadowing round the eyes and some shine on the head to make his hair appear whiter, plus black and white images have a vintage quality to them, so people naturally appear older."
The portrait's title, as you might have guessed, is "Good Luck America":
"[It] was just a line I thought Obama would say with him thinking he's served his time to make America better but now that he is out of office all he can offer is words and good luck," Osiris explains, adding "[America] requires all the luck it can get.
Osiris is a master at avatar-based cosplay by the way -- Cajsa featured him in this post.
America will never be the same and I fear now, it will never be as good as it was. I am glad Osiris has contributed this Obama to Second Life! Great work!!!

I looked at this portrait and I couldn't stop crying. OMG, what have we done?
This beautiful man gave us health care that is the envy of the free world. I never really knew deductibles could grow this big. I'm so much closer to nature because of him. I used to have a house, until the bank took it after their bailout. Now I share a tent with the birds and squirrels. It's lovely.
He helped crack the heads of those horrible occupy Wall Street thugs and those nasty Water Protectors. Corporations shouldn't have to put up with that. I love my Frack the Arctic backpack. He made us safer in keeping Guantanamo, the Patriot Act, permanent tax cuts for the rich, expanding the War on Terror, deporting record numbers, and building a surveillance network that George Orwell couldn't dream of. Also his bravery in standing up against that spree of Cops shooting black people was heroic, as well as his leadership in ensuring that our election integrity remained the envy of the third world.
I'm so verklempt. Look at the horror we've become in just two years.
