Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
When you hear the word “monochrome”, you probably don’t think of beautiful, fascinating, or innovative, but maybe you should. Take a look at the image results for a search or just look at Just Infinity’s photostream. In “What do you say when words are not enough?” she desaturates and tints her photo a subtle sepia. The photo is brightened and with depth of field blurring the background, the details emerge faintly. This picture asks you to take a closer look, and then asks again and again.
Here, in “Don’t Play…” she seems to a woman in a dream. This is not a monotone picture. You can see the color of her flesh and her lips though the photo has been desaturated, but not down to zero. The effect makes her seem to be materializing in front of us in some otherworldly place.
“Do you know where you’re going to?” is a bold surprise, demonstrating that Just Infinity likes to experiment and try new effects. Here her colors are bold with a high contrast between the blaclk silhouettes of the dancing couple and the vibrant blazing sunset behind them.
I like it when people find an idea and explore it as far as it can go. That is what Just Infinity is doing - exploring color, it boldest expression as well as what happens when it is removed. Her experiments are beautiful.
