Caja's Daily Flickr Pick: Pepsi Sheen Creates Gorgeous, Whimsical Composites from Second Life Screenshots

Pepsi Sheen’s photostream is fun and lively. “今夜出て！” or “Get Out Tonight” according to Google Translate, is a bright, vivid example of her stream. The intrepid Pepsi waits for her opportunity to finish crossing the very busy street. It’s a great photo incorporating first and Second life photos into a successful composite, however, if I were her I would be looking at oncoming traffic rather than the street.

In “Untitled,” Pepsi uses layers to create an impressionist portrait with beautiful use of color. The blues picking up from her eyes, the greens from her blonde hair. A colorist who colored my blonde hair red for years once told me that blonde hair turns green in the pool because it really is green. I will reserve judgment, but I can sometimes see where she is coming from.

Many of her photos are humorous and tell a story. She even has a few comics including this “Untitled” photo. I sure hope Sailor Moon can win climate change because no one’s stepping up here.  

I like Pepsi Sheen’s photostream because it is fun. It’s a reminder of the kinds of silly fun with friends that addicted us to this wonderful world.
