Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
I like “Rio” from Evie Heights. It kind of upends the usual beach glamour shot. It’s taken from behind and the picnic gear is front and center and depth of field blurs the basket so you focus on her head which is in the sweet spot of the Golden Ratio and is sharply in focus as it is the focal point of the picture.
In “Simple,” Evie makes her body a sort of frame. She uses white space beautifully with triangular empty space behind her back and in front of her. Because it is at an angle, the horizon forms another triangle in the upper right.
I love Evie’s use of lighting in “Vintages.” The light is bright and the dark is deep and shadow in a true chiaroscuro study.
Evie Heights’ photostream is filled with beautifully composed photos, some of the same scenes from different angles. She makes maximum use of depth of field to add verisimilitude. She plays with color and lighting. It is a delightful stream.
