Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
KikOO’s untitled photo was taken last year while she was listening to a live performance streamed in Second Life. That look of transfixed bliss is exactly how I feel while listening to a concert. I went to the Oregon Symphony tonight and heard the world premiere of Andy Akiho’s Percussion Concerto and I know I was rapt even though I was not enjoying the gentle fall of snowflakes. She followed the Rule of Fifths, centering her avatar at two-fifths.
“Amour” is much more typical of KikOO’s photostream. She has mastered expressing a pensive sort of romanticism. These are beautiful photos embellished with flowers or lights or petals. In this photo, she uses the Rule of Thirds in framing her photo.
“Shape of You” is a bit different than her usual photos. It’s full body with a simple black background, the area given substance with lighting and a ribbon. It also uses the Rule of Thirds in placing the avatar. What I love is how shadows cast by the light are still visible, black on black.
KikOO’s stream is a delightful collection, mostly of pictures of her avatar in a romantic setting and looking lovely. Her work is well-composed and always beautiful.
