Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
As much as I like SL artists who experiment with different approaches, I also love the artists who define their aesthetic and stick with it. Ary McCauley has done that. When you see a picture by her, you know it is hers. The majority of her photos are vertical fashion shots, but she does a few mise-en-scène. This is an excellent example of her aesthetic shifted from the backdrop to the scene, the colors in her suit are found in the scene. There are tropical foliage in both. There is an echoing of color and a naturalness that is delightful
“Dark Secrets” is more typical of her aesthetic. The colors of the scene again reflect her clothing. There are bokeh and lighting in a screen layer that add to the effect. Her pictures are rich in saturated colors. They are perfect for her blog, Pixel Princess.
“Get your Neon Tan On” is another beautiful mise-en-scène that once again shows you the way she creates a background that reflects what she is wearing, or she finds an outfit that complements the scene. I can’t help but love the total effect.
So, do follow Ary McCauley and you will soon come to know her pictures the moment you see them. Her exploration of color creates a story that carries you away.
People here may think it doesnt take much to post these kind of screenshots, but I assure you, it takes hours and years to get better at taking these pictures along with editing them to each of their tastes.
