Cajsa's SL Flickr Picks: Leonorah Beverly Shoots Stunningly Composed Photos

I love the drama in Leonorah Beverly’s “The Mask.” with the background half white and half black, each side seems to rise out of the other. It’s striking and remarkably different from her usual landscapes that remind me of old masters and which I will have to feature another day. 

I love “Parrot,” this bold bright parrot is set off by the near-white-on-white of the rest of the photo. It’s a beautiful example of exploiting color to draw our eyes.

“As Time Goes By” is for a movie theme contest. If you don’t recognize the movie, I am sorry. You have been deprived. Figure it out and watch it. I love that this is instantly recognizable, I didn’t need to read that it was for a movie contest, to know the movie. 

Leonorah Beverly’s photostream is populated with stunning landscapes that remind me of John Constable I have been thinking of featuring her landscapes for some time, but then I realized she had these outliers that are so bold and exciting, that I could not resist featuring them.
