Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
I love reading, so “Hiding Behind” from Manis Lane drew my eye immediately. I get a kick out of how she was inspired by the polaroids hanging on the line to add a filter or texture layer to add the kinds of scratches and abuse a photo that is handled a lot might accrue. The photo is full of good humor and frankly, just looking at it made me smile and lifted my mood.
This joyful “Happy New Year” photo is so exuberant with the adorable Chibit Avatar perched over the umbrellas and among the fish. I don’t speak Japanese nor do I know a lot about Japanese pop culture, but I have to say the Chibit group photo pool is adorable. One of the things I admire about the Japanese aesthetic in SL photos is this kind of exuberance that brings incongruent elements together in this surreal cacophony that somehow blends into something magical.
“Something from 2016” is adorable. I love the yellow-green color story. I love the little girl walking with the rabbits. It does go back to an old blog post that captures a common dilemma for bloggers, how to wear what you really like and be current with your blogging obligations.
I love Manis Lane’s photostream and her eponymous blog.. So many of her pictures show slice-of-life scenarios with her, her pets, and her friends. There are also several lovely decor photos and through it all, a sunny, optimistic mood that makes browsing her stream a handy mood lifter.
