Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Asahi Kanzaki’s photostream is a joy from beginning to end, not just because of his imaginative pictures, but because of the stories in his descriptions. In “To Hell with the Name” Anashi depicts a popular Japanese romance meme called kabedon. I love the humor in this photo. It reminds me a bit of Fred Astaire’s Ceiling Dance or perhaps some extreme planking, whatever his reference, he suspends the avatar horizontally across the hallway with several witnesses to his declaration of romantic affection.
In “Hiki and Jombo,” Asahi has his first picture of himself as a female avatar. I love how the building frames the action. There is so much joy in this photo with the humor of spilling items as he comes to the rescue of his friend. I also love all the cats. The one named Purin really cracked me up. With the cats, this picture almost feels like one of those “Can you find?” puzzles. I found six cats, how many can you find?
“Dura U95 @TMD” is named after the hair. Dura happens to be one of my favorite hair creators, too, because of their concentration on short styles for men and women. I was drawn to this picture by the fish circling his head. It is so reminiscent of the yin-yang fish image. Content warning, do not read about the yin-yang fish food dish. Seriously, do NOT read about the dish. I like the white, black, and red color story in this picture and how he uses that red tassel to accentuate the circling fish.
There is not one bad picture in Asahi Kanzaki’s stream. They are full of life. There are pictures of friends hanging out, eating, having adventures, and just living life. All the pictures are sumptuous visual feasts with all sorts of decorative additions from tassels to cats to fish and so much more.
