Why? The worst pandemic most of us have ever seen, we want to log into SL to forget and escape what is happening. Instead, we have people cashing in on a real threat to quite a few people in Second Life. Shame on you and anyone who participates in this.

chav

It's funny because it's true.

Adeon Writer

I laughed 10/10

Summer Haas

5 stars for making the sanitizer mod.

camilia fid3lis nee Patchouli Woollahra

I so badly need to go to this event.

Also: Alexandra - there's always something disagreeable to someone happening in SL all the time. Unless it touches on a major universal no-go like pedophilia or Naziism, I can't see any point in being outraged rather than merely unsurprised and disappointed with some folks.

Riannah Avora

I think it's a great idea. We're all in the same boat. No one likes getting sick... but it is what it is. You can chose to be too paranoid about it or you can chose to make the best of it. And it is a choice.

vwfan

The way the sanitizer is promoted is great lol. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if that actually was a thing in SL, attached to that spot, functional with sound effects and particle drips. Oh gawd... my mind is infected... someone help me...

Had LL understood the value of schools are artists on their platform, they would have been in a great position to cater to the current demand for online teaching.

Instead, they went after the fast, cheap buck with their lazy and greedy mentality and put themselves in a position where nobody takes them serious about ANYTHING.

Sure the coronovirus is a bad thing but lazy, greedy and inept corporate bozos are worse for everybody. Let that lame SL and their crass boatload of ridiculous boardmembers and ceo sink into nothingness. They are true viruses.

Jacques Mesrine

@ Alexandre Justice -> calm down, don't be pedantic in the wrong direction. that's purest irony, there's no such thing planned called "Covid-19 Event".

Thanks a lot Nylon, for being so brilliantly witty again!

Blaise Glendevon

I mean, it's a joke. But as I was trying on demos for the MP, I saw a sponsored ad for a Coronavirus 'bumper' - it sprays particles in the shape of COVID19 viruses if you bump the wearer. And someone in the club I dance at walked in with a Clorox Wipes holdable.

Fionalein

It is a stressfull situation. Human coping mechanisms are various. Some folks best deal with situations by making fun of them. By making fun of dire situations they try to regain some normality. If this mechanism does not work for you, just ignore them but please understand that most of them are as irritated and afraid of the RL situation as you are.

Pulsar

The comic is pretty fun and Fionalein is right. Here is a couple of fun examples of actual items in Second Life related to the pandemic:
