Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Marianne McCann’s “Up a Tree” is a great example of her Flickr stream, pictures of a child having fun, living a very typical child’s life, with camp, school, playing with friends, and in this case, hanging off a tree limb. I love that her hair hangs down.
Below the break, you can catch Marianne with friends who absolutely do not know what they are doing.
“Canoe Time” made me laugh. Hauling a canoe around can be awkward and a wooden canoe is quite heavy compared to the fiberglass or the high-density polyethylene (HDPE) canoes. But to add to the weight and awkwardness, they are carrying it all wrong-- right-side-up rather than up-side-down. If they tipped it over, they could carry on their shoulders, the front person on the outside. Then it won’t bang into everything and will be easy to carry. When I was in high school, my neighbor and I competed in whitewater canoe races and I promise you, it’s so much easier to carry it overhead. But, it sure makes for a fun picture.
Marianne has been a group chat moderator for The Arcade for ages and is often at The Arcade to help people who might be having questions. I really love this “Waiting at the Arcade” really captures the anticipation for it to open. I love that the actual venue is blurred in the distance and our attention is on the pelicans.
Marianne McCann’s photostream is fun to browse. It’s a joyful collection of photos with a few more poignant ones because even kids have bad days.

I'm glad you enjoyed Cajsa! And yes, the canoe was intended to be about as awkward as I could make it. I'm glad you caught the wrong-side-up canoe!
