Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Marina Munter’s photostream makes me think of the women Julia Sugarbaker called the “toughest-talking big-shouldered broads that ever lived in this country.” She has a certain mid-century panache and style that seems very Golden Age Hollywood and I love it. Her love of intense color and unusual angles also harkens back to that era.
After the break, more stylish and strong photos from Marina.

This Untitled photo is delicious, and even more so when paired with the preceding picture. Here she plays with light and depth of field as well as the camera angle to give us two completely different pictures of the same scene.
This photo makes me think of la dolce vita, not so much the film, but the sweet life it portrayed. I love how the avatar is barely visible, yet totally there. I love the use of depth of field blurring everything but her arm and that bit of the lounge chair. It’s a striking picture and suggests a mood, a place, and an entire lifestyle with such simple elements.
I hope you check out Maria Munter’s work. It is fun, visually appealing, and creates a story with simple elements, the avatar, the pose, and a bit of setting. The pictures are fashion-conscious, but are more about conveying a life and its joys and passions. This is another timeline that demands some discretion about who is in the room, but that is also a pure delight.
