Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
“Blinding” is the word not just for this picture, but for Emi’s stream of sundrenched photos. She has a love of the sunlight that cannot be denied. We see her from the back, lit by a blinding sun and framed by fiddlehead ferns and other foliage. It’s well done and shows her uniquely sunny style.
More sunny pics ahead:
One Margarita lets the sun blow out everything but the essentials, the avatar and her margarita. The sea, sand, and sky are just a suggestion in the distance, lost to the light. We often think of shadows hiding details, but light can as well, as Emi ably demonstrates.
This is a rare picture that doesn’t involve a lot of light. In fact the lighting is relatively neutral. What I love is the naturalness of the picture with some telling details such as her legs sinking into the sand instead of lying on top. The coloring gives it a retro feel, as though the pic is forty years old and time has mellowed the colors.
Be sure to check Emi’s photostream for a slice of SLife on a sunny beach. She takes photos while doing things and that always makes for fun and interesting pics.
She also does this mostly with WindLight. In describing her work, she wrote that she does not use Photoshop and wouldn’t know what to do. “I use some free tools to lighten up and having a play with WindLights and shadows.”
