Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
This recent post titled 木{Wood) from Ren Matsura’s blog LETCIRREN made me think of “North By Northwest” for obvious reasons. I love the storytelling element. I don’t know if a crop duster is chasing them. I hope they get away.
Ren’s photos are editorial. They are creating a mood or essence to make you want to wear the clothing. They are not catalog shots that carefully illustrate the design and details. I think smart creators choose bloggers of both types. They will catch those of us who browse to shop from two angles.

In “Devil” Ren delivers another story-telling post without a word of narrative. This has a very moody, big-city feeling, a stark contrast to the other post. There is still a hint of menace though thanks to the shadowed walkway. Is that woman following her? Is she a spy?

Ren Matsura’s blog LETCIRREN is well-organized with a single collapsed-menu icon in the upper left to access her contact information, feeds, sponsors, her modeling resume, and her store where she sells shapes. The only improvement I can suggest is adding the names of designers so in-world stores can be found if and when they move or events close. I did look for Nerido’s link and found three possibilities. I guessed (correctly) it was the only one with actual items for sale. That was easy, but I can imagine it being harder with a more common name. I like the clean and simple design.
