Nayra Collas’ photostream is alive with wonder and fantasy. In “Some people love power, others have the power to love,” she situates her avatar in a fantastical setting where even the flowers seem to be paying attention while a bird rests between her hands. The lighting is beautiful as well.
“Galactic Girl” is another striking fantasy picture. What I like is the clothes she is wearing could be ordinary workout wear but with the skin, the sword, and the visor, they are clearly futuristic. I love the color story and lighting all creating an entire world in time.
“Tavern with Friends” makes me think of “The Highwayman” and Bess, the landlord’s daughter, though I hope this avatar has a better story than Bess. Is the wind a torrent of darkness? We don’t know because she is snug in the tavern with her animal friends.
I love how each picture is a complete fantasy set in place and time. Nayra Collas’ photostream takes us back in the past and into the future, from history to fantasy, and everywhere in between, even the outdoor dining at an Italian cafe.
