First the location: "[I]is a land of incongruent realities," owner and lead creator Chuck Clip tells me. "A Victorian town built on a bridge leads to a gothic Basilica. all of it looking over a post apocalyptic trailer park, with a portal that leads into a story book forest." Sounds like a club Stefon would visit... with his mom.
And now the opportunity for artists:
"Back in the day," he tells me. "I was occasionally written about for my art shows in SL in New World Notes by Chestnut Rau, among other publications."
Memories light the corner of your mind -- and yes Chuck's been creating in SL since at least 2009. Anyway he continues:
"I've decided to flip the script and support other artists by giving them a space on my sim, as others did for me back then. The art community is not what it once was, but it's not dead. I want to make a difference, small as it may be.
"And, for the record. I'm not making money off any of this. I pay for it all out of pocket. If people donate a little something now and again, that's great, but any sales go 100% to the artists. I pay the performers, and for the sim itself. I don't have sponsors, no one else collaborating, it's just me trying to pay it forward." (But I mean seriously, drop him a tip if you visit.)
