Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Saga Mea’s photostream is a mix of fashion pics and landscapes which are all quite good, but it is her landscapes that really capture my attention. There is this sparing discipline to her photos. They are well-composed. Take this picture of the Beverly Hills Hotel. She has framed it so it divides into thirds, the sign, the wall going back to the balconies and the balconies, and the shorter part of the hotel all are thirds of the photo. It is lovely.
More stunning landscapes to come.
I love this crow on a power line. The duotone colors accentuate the silhouettes. There is an overlay that adds an eerie element. All that in the air, is it locusts or dust and debris? The only certain thing is it feels menacing.
“Missing Melody” has an aged feeling as though it’s an old varnished painting. The deep green of the grass and the umber building and sky all suggest history has passed. There is such simplicity in its form, subtlety in the colors, and complexity in its execution that I am in love with this picture.
Please do not think my focus on her landscapes suggests that I dislike her avatar photos. Clearly she does great work. However, there is so much care and discipline in her landscapes, I think Saga Mea herself is more drawn to them.
