Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
It’s not Monet’s “Water Lilies” but it’s a beautiful Second Life homage by Roseleiya whose photostream is like a stroll through a museum. The music she chose to accompany the picture is ideal. Dustin O’Harlloran’s “We Move Lightly” which was new to me. Her pictures are deceptively simple with few elements, but every one of those elements perfectly considered.
More beauty ahead:
“Calm” is beautiful in a subdued and quiet way. Dare I say calm? A sleeping cat and a plant on a wall, that’s all there is, but it is so suggestive. I think the sepia coloring reinforces the mood of serenity.
“057” is accompanied by the song “Dandelion Dress” by Platon Karataev. It is the perfect lyric:
I remember when I was the wind/
And blew away your dandelion dress/
The sun laughed at your angel wings/
And I touched your brown curly tress/
That was pure happiness, I guess.
There isn’t a dandelion in the picture, but the song captures the ethereal mood. She’s looking down through clear water at the aquatic foliage, a reminder there are gardens under the water.
Roseleiya’s photostream is one excellent photo after another. She has a fascination with water that comes through, though not in every picture. I love the way she experiments with the camera, shooting from the back, the side, underneath, and even underwater.
