If you spend any serious time in Minnesota you will hear the ubiquitous “Oh, for cute.” This is not pronounced as though it is three separate words, though. “Oh, for” is pronounced as gopher without the g. “Cute” on the other hand has a long tripthong, as in kew-yew-oot. Any other pronunciation is wrong. And the moment I saw this untitled photo from Verona Lauria, I said “opher kew-yew-oot.” I love how they mirror each other and how their pairing is offset by the owl. I love the lush sky and the willows in silhouette with the field of wildflowers. I just love it all.
The reign of kew-yew-oot continues.
This is another cute photo. In fact, it’s the one that caught my eye in someone’s faves which led me to discovering Verona’s stream for the first time. I love how natural she looks. I can absolutely see her waiting under the bridge to get into Le Bistro Montage for some mac and cheese after a late night. She seems so much a part of the city. I love this.
“In the past we were four winged birds, dragons, serpents, Bengal tigers” is a long ways from cute. It’s dramatic role play and I want the story. Please tell us all about the dragons, birds, serpents, and tigers, oh my.
Verona Lauria’s photostream is delightful. It has plenty of cute but also dramatic and romantic photos from a full Second Life.
