Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Put It Off is one of several excellent posts at “Vanity Unfolded,” a blog featuring the photos and styling of Hopa Shinobu. In the post, she explains why she has been doing posts with just credits and not writing as much as she used to. She prefers spending more time with her daughter and putting off what is less important.
She has wise advice: “[W]e should use this time to rebuild our humanity and compassion to others. To put off the things that dont really matter and focus on the things that are priceless.”
I also love how carefully she posed herself so her feet and shoes look right. Go to the post for the massively detailed list of decor, including:
- Hair:DOUX – Ubert Hairstyle
- Top:Mossu – Nora.Cardigan – Print N2 @Uber
- Jeans:RIOT / Celeste Jeans – Blogger [email protected]Uber
- Shoes:Garbaggio // Nicole D’Orsay – Nude
Coming up, a blogger wearing clothes...
Gracious Gatherings is another excellent fashion and decor post. One of the reasons I like Hopa Shinobu so much is she actually wears clothes in her posts. In preparing my column, I browse a lot of Flickr and a lot of blogs and clothes are becoming increasingly absent. There’s plenty of lingerie and all-too-revealing cosplay outfits, but not so much just plain clothing. I like to dress in SL more or less as I would in real life, in clothing. I like blogs with clothing, sweaters, dresses, pants, and jackets and not ones that are falling off. Call me a pixel prude if you like, but show me clothes, please.

- Coat:NATIVE URBAN – Lucid Coat All [email protected]Uber
Vanity Unfolded is an excellent blog with extensive details from the skin to the poses to the decor. My initial impression is of a very streamlined and minimalist design. However, she does not use the dropdown menus at the top in the most effective way.
She has categories of product and the drop down menu gives you a direct teleport link to the store. She would be better served by putting them all on one page with one drop down that links to pages listing the blogs she follows, store links, and her contact info. Instead her prime real estate goes to teleport links that are all repeated in her posts rather than to promoting and introducing herself. That’s humble of her, but she really should have an about page introducing herself and her social media links.
The blogs she follows are in the footer with her social media. This means paging down many, many times. She should just get rid of the footer and put that info up in her headers or on pages linked via the drop down links. It’s nice to promote store links, but she should also promote herself. After all, we follow her because we like her, right? So because she does not show off herself, here are her social media links from the footer.

Thank you for your kind words. I often find it hard to remember that we shouldn't stress over the small stuff and rather enjoy things that truly matter.
