Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
I loved this picture the moment I saw it. I love the cats and how natural their poses are. We have all seen cats in spats. I love how it is lit from outside, from the bright lights of the city. It creates a chiaroscuro effect that is simply brilliant. I featured Paradox Ivory three years ago with an interview. Since then, her work has only grown in confidence and creative vision.
Stunning images exploring light and shadow.
“Feel your lips crush” strikes a familiar note to many of us who have lingered in our second lives late into the night. Whether for romance or friendship, how many of us have sat relaxed with the only illumination coming from our Second Life. I love how that makes our virtual home so much more significant in the picture.
“Today, today” is another fabulous picture getting its energy from finding a new angle, low and below. If you forgive the pun, it’s not an eagle-eye panorama, but perhaps an aglet-eye view. I love how the pull-loop and back stay are sharply in focus while the foreground and background are blurred using depth of field.
Paradox Ivory has a stunning photostream of powerful black and white photos with some duotone and tritone pictures. Many pictures feature her avatar looking out of windows, over ledges, and seem to have this theme of observing life from outside. I love, though, that she also gets down on the sidewalk as a full participant.
